The Saudi Aramco exhibit booth drew a large number of suppliers for a video presentation about how their products and services can support the company's operations.
Offshore Technology Conference
Saudi Aramco and Aramco Services Company (ASC) had a strong presence at this year's Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), one of the world's largest oil and gas technology conferences and a hub for the exchange of scientific knowledge and innovation. The conference was held May 4-7 in Houston, Texas. The Saudi Aramco exhibit received heavy traffic throughout the four-day conference, and in-booth video presentations by the Strategic Sourcing Unit of ASC Procurement & Logistics (P&L) drew more than 230 potential suppliers interested in learning about registering products and manufacturing plants.
"From a sourcing perspective, OTC offered us an opportunity to meet with potential suppliers from throughout the Western Hemisphere, and to continue to build and capitalize on the relationships that are critical to upstream and offshore efforts," said Abdulrauf Allarakia, manager, ASC P&L Department.

Aramco Services Company 2008 Supplier Symposium: "Building Partnerships"
Aramco Services Company conducted its first annual Supplier Symposium May 4 in Houston. Representatives from ASC and Saudi Aramco met with suppliers and manufacturers from throughout the Western Hemisphere to discuss new business opportunities with ASC and Saudi Aramco. The event drew about 300 participants.
