Focus on upstream: Saudi Aramco’s enhanced upstream technology strategy discussed at OTC
HOUSTON - Khalid Buraik, vice president of Petroleum Engineering & Development, Saudi Aramco, will speak at a topical luncheon on Monday, May 6, during the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston.
Saudi Aramco has recently launched a new, major initiative to fundamentally transform the company and re-engineer the way it does business. The Accelerated Transformation Program encompasses several elements, which seek to broaden the company’s scope from an oil and gas company to a fully integrated energy and chemicals enterprise. Important elements of the initiative are technology, research and development, and the leveraging of intellectual capital. Buraik’s presentation will describe the specific steps that Saudi Aramco is undertaking to achieve the goals of this initiative.
