Aramco iExplore: Energy

Ensuring that young students understand the building blocks of science and energy has never been more important. To help educate local youth about energy conservation and use, we’ve partnered with the Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS) to launch “Aramco iExplore,” a program for fifth graders and teachers from schools in the Greater Houston area.

In addition to enhancing students’ understanding of how energy works, the initiative centers on creating excitement about future careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The program has a two-part structure, with teachers first attending a one-day workshop to outline a set of exercises for students at the museum. After that, students visit HMNS and participate in hands-on activities designed to get them excited about energy-related ideas and careers. The results? Students are more engaged, and teachers are equipped with new, fresh techniques to keep kids interested in science and STEM-related fields.
